WHYUS

To Our Japanese Speaking Clients.

Our firm has the ability to assist our Japanese speaking clients in all areas of family law, whether it be divorce, child custody or child support, division of assets, domestic violence, or prenuptial agreements. Our main office is located in Irvine, California, and we also have a Japanese version of our website available.

Our Japanese speaking divorce lawyer, Benjamin Lee, is an experienced family law and divorce lawyer licensed in California. Ben has helped hundreds of clients navigate the divorce process and is a strong advocate for his clients’ rights. He is passionate about family law and is committed to supporting his clients throughout divorce and the difficult transitions that come with it. He is conversant in Japanese and has lived in Tokyo, Japan for a year working for a U.S. based advertising agency. Also, our Office Manager/Legal Assistant Rie Okuno is a native Japanese speaker from Osaka, Japan. Having personally experienced the divorce process herself, Rie is passionate about supporting our Japanese speaking clients throughout their entire divorce.

Before settling down in Southern California, Ben had an opportunity to live in different parts of the U.S., and also abroad in Japan and Taiwan. Having both an immigrant family background (he was born to immigrant parents in Washington D.C.) and the opportunity to live abroad for many years, Ben is able to understand not just the legal issues that many families face in a divorce, but also the complex nature of familial and financial relationships in this increasingly global and mobile world.

Ben is a member of the State Bar of California and District of Columbia Bar, as well as the Federal U.S. District Court, Central California and Federal U.S. District Court, Northern District. He is also a member of the Family Law Sections of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and Orange County Bar Association.
